„Obscura“ is a four-track release from Norwegian electronic music project CAPA, marking a more rhythm-focused direction for the project.
The release puts greater emphasis on drums, percussion and groove, while preserving the atmospheric, cinematic qualities that are characteristic of CAPA. The four tracks are co-produced with Norwegian producer Terje Saether, adding a strong focus on rhythmic detail, dynamics and carefully shaped electronic production.
„Obscura“ is deliberately rooted in hands-on music production and genuine craftsmanship, created without the use of AI in the creative process.
CAPA’s distinctive sonic identity is present throughout the release, particularly through its atmospheric soundscapes and the use of extensively processed human voices as an integral part of the instrumentation.
With „Obscura“, CAPA explores a darker and more rhythm-driven sound while remaining firmly rooted in the project’s established atmospheric universe.
