CAPA is a Chillout project by Norwegian composer Vidar Nord, a producer with an extensive background in songwriting for artists and music production for advertising, television and film.
This project is particularly based upon voice manipulation, it’s about finding unique phrases or sounds when the calculated is being twisted and bent to the uncalculated. Changing conventional ideas around form and structure into a synthetic soundscape.

The album “Capa II” was signed to Lemongrassmusic in summer 2013 and was Capa’s first release on the label, followed by the album “Epiphany” in 2015 and another 5 albums and 3 EPs until 2022.

The album “Birds Of Passage” marks a new course with a different way of making music and sound signatures by composing without a given tempo, free from quantized midi-programming and click-recording giving the listener and composer freedom to experiment and experience further into the abstract universe of sound and melody.

Chameleon

Release date: November 27th, 2020 Lemongrassmusic present the new album „Chameleon“ by Norwegian producer Vidar Nord (alias „Capa“). Chameleons change colour by changing the space between the guanine crystals, which changes the wavelength of light reflected off the crystals which changes the colour of the skin. Like the chameleon, sound can be used as a mental camouflage. With manipulation of sound-wavelengths Capa discovers with this 12 tracks release the sonic world of the chameleon.

Cydonia

Still striving to give soul and a good portion of diversity to synthetic music.
