Behind “Citrino” is Andre Ruschmeier, born in Germany in 1963. His musical journey began with an early fascination for drums and percussion before going on to study music.
Over the years, Citrino performed in various bands, exploring styles ranging from jazz, R&B and funk to experimental music.
His focus gradually shifted towards electronic music, where he found the creative freedom to develop his own musical language. Today, Citrino works both on solo productions and in collaboration with other musicians.
While his music can broadly be described as downtempo, electronic and chill-out, he prefers to think of it as creating atmospheric soundscapes, often enriched by subtle rhythmic structures and organic instrumental elements.
