Rather than relying on traditional lyrics or structure, the music uses the human voice as an instrument – fragmented, reversed, stretched and reimagined – blurring the line between organic and digital, emotion and abstraction.

Bird Of Passage Part 3 (September 30, 2022):

Lemongrassmusic present the new album „Chameleon“ by Norwegian producer Vidar Nord (alias „Capa“).
Chameleons change colour by changing the space between the guanine crystals, which changes the wavelength of light reflected off the crystals which changes the colour of the skin. Like the chameleon, sound can be used as a mental camouflage. With manipulation of sound-wavelengths Capa discovers with this 12 tracks release the sonic world of the chameleon.

Lemongrassmusic present the new album „Cydonia“ by Norwegian artist Capa, alias Vidar Nord.
The album art and the title of the 14 tracks album was created halfway through the process, so the actual Cydonia feeling manifested itself in the music-making process in the second half and all previous tracks needed to get a special Cydonia treatment afterwards which makes the whole album a homogenous work now.
This strange outher-earthly-creature on its way following a cryptic map, maybe to Cydonia – a mythical place on Mars, an ancient city in Crete or 1106 Cydonia – an asteroid between Mars and Jupiter. Anyway, it’s on its way to the unknown, this creature in peace with nature and technology. The music of Cydonia is the soundtrack to this journey.

CAPA is a Chillout project by Norwegian composer Vidar Nord, a producer with an extensive background in songwriting for artists and music production for advertising, television and film.
This project is particularly based upon voice manipulation, it’s about finding unique phrases or sounds when the calculated is being twisted and bent to the uncalculated. Changing conventional ideas around form and structure into a synthetic soundscape.

For many years the CAPA-project was just an arena for exploring ideas and letting off steam after working with vocals not going the way as planned. Prosessing failed vocal-takes and changing tune and rhythm sometimes gives life to new and interesting vocal samples and so often leads to a new CAPA track.

This is the second album “Capa II” still influenced by analog synths and still seeking awareness to music is Capa’s first release on label Lemongrassmusic.
