Bazille Noir is founded by Jens Paulsen aka Patchwork (Spirit Zone Records) and Stefan Ebinger (piano, keyboards) in 2001. Jazz, crime style, lounge and easy listening with references to the 50s and 60s music & B-movies meets modern beats and sample aesthetics with self-played lines on the keyboard and guitar. Various guest singers have shared their inspiration and creativity with their contributed to music and helped shape it.
Cinema for the mind. Bazille Noir cast electronic shadows in all shapes and colors into our ears. A little weird, mischievous and groovy.

Jens Paulsen has taken up this thread again with Matthias Zoeller (bass, keyboards) in 2022 and inspired by many musicians in dub and reggae created an independent mélange.

Release date: May 17, 2024 – Dub is open! Hamburg-based producer and musician Jens Paulsen (alias Bazille Noir) has teamed up with bassist and keyboarder Matthias Zoeller. Together they have added contemporary elements of electronic music to traditional Dub sounds. Their musical backgrounds are from different styles and genres that they have successfully integrated while having a lot of fun playing together!
