At times, his compositions have a Trip-Hop / Chillwave flavor to it, which might remind you of artists like Moby or Portishead. In addition to that, the album has a wide range of other influences, ranging from modern Trap to Afro-Beat and pretty much anything in between! However, the overall style of Stuce The Sketch’s music is unique, and it is difficult to compare his work to that of other artists on account of his one-of-a-kind approach to musical composition in general. Stuce The Sketch is a Nairobi Kenya based music producer and music composer with a unique style uniting traditional folk and urban Kenyan sounds. The project includes collaborations with Michael Kwambo who is a well known Kenyan poet and singer, and with Kim who plays live jazz and benga sounds on the guitar.
The album „African Spirit“ is their debut on label Lemongrassmusic – a journey that takes the listener to the origins of African sounds making them a modern experience with electronic music elements and contemporary song writing.
