Five SeasonsIce

The new album „Ice“ by German producer, musician and Lemongrassmusic label manager Daniel Voss, alias Five Seasons, takes us on a musical journey to the realms of snow and ice.
The 12 tracks were inspired by the mere beauty and grandeur of this wonderful element and the music swings our imagination aloft to powerful and aesthetic inner landscapes.
As the album artwork allegorizes, ice does also have a fragile character, deserving of protection and being a key element in the global climate change which is proceeding so quickly…
The tracks on „Ice“ bear upon the icy landscapes of the North ranging from Canada, Greenland, Scandinavia, Siberia and Mongolia to Alaska.

Let the icy borealis blow through your imagination and tell you stories from the polar circle (Le Vent Du Nord), cherish the blue, bubbly ice of Lake Baikal, find yourself on a powerful horse running through the wide snowy landscapes of Siberia (Snow Rider), or watch the world being peacefully covered with sparkling, white snow under a luminous blue sky (Winter Sun).
Visit the lonely, northernmost waters carried by a vessel driving along beautfully rugged coastlines (Sailing Northbound) or make yourself comfortable close to a sizzling chimney fire and feel the warmth and concealment while watching the contrasting cold, white land outside (Play All Day).
Visiting the mystic, sunken city of Atlantis where the spirits of the old water people sing yearning melodies is another experience that can be discovered on this album.
The track „Alaska“ – vast and monumental – finalizes the journey.

Despite the cold, icy theme of the album the sounds used in the music mainly have a warm and caressing character. The contrastive character of the element ice is being reflected in the driving, powerful beats accompanied by idle pads and soothing instrumentation.
